Different and Similar

I was making write ups and testimonials for a couple of people lately… I owe my sleepless nights (because my mind works better at night) and lost vacation hours to the numerous (but worthwhile) requirements of our Annual (yearbook). While thinking about what to write for a particular person I find myself inserting the word “unique” in the picture. I can’t help but smile about how people are unique in their own way. I know it’s a cliché. But a few months ago I read Tuesdays with Morrie and it says there that you have to see how people are similar so you would understand them and be able to relate to them. Parang yung golden rule: don’t do unto others what you don’t want others to do unto you because more or less people have similar likes and dislikes. So people are different and similar at the same time. I recall Dash saying from the movie The Incredibles: if everybody’s unique (or special) then nobody’s unique (or special). Hehe..sounds like a philosophical argument…haaay…the wonders of God…the capabilities of the human mind…amazing. I figured that people are like recipes. They come from the same array of available ingredients combined, prepared, and presented in different manners.

My SemBreak Challenge

Can i just say...nanliliit ako sa blogs ng mga taong kilala ko. But hey thanks to you guys (momon, crystle, loraine, mak, mam aileen) i got inspired to improve my very own. I'm such an infant in this "bloggering" activity like I'm an infant in a lot of things, i still have so much to learn and I'm making this my project for this sembreak...I hope movies will not interfere with this plan...hay. Sa mga taong nabanggit, i'll be asking you questions from now on..hintay-hintay lang kayo. Astig! By the way, nood kayo Cinderella Man..inspiring. I'll try to post my review..try. :-)

UP IBA Kids' Day Out

I just came from UP IBA's Kids' Day Out earlier at UST hospital. We had a bit of an art workshop, storytelling, and games for the young patients of the hospital. Its so fulfilling to devote a portion of your time, energy, and money to make other people (spesially kids) happy. Ang biggest reward na natanggap ko sa activity na ito ay ang mga thank you ng mga bata, parents, at staff ng ospital. May bonuses pa ko cause i gain new freinds dahil may mga new apps na pumunta, not to mention a new text buddy sa katauhan ni Mae Ann. We could only do so much bacause after all only God can cure them, mas napasaya nila ako kaysa napasaya ko sila. Let us all spread love!!! Salamat sa lahat ng nag-attend ng Kids Day Out, mabasa nyo man ito or not thank you pa rin. Ciao for now!!!
